Born on a misty March morning in 1993, Kitty Silverwings arrived with life threatening physical problems that included a severed radial nerve in her right front leg which left her with three good legs. She had a total absence of any muscling in right front shoulder and upper leg. These dire problems would soon be compounded by abscesses that went to the bone. With no immune system at birth, any one of her catastrophic maladies held the potential for her ultimate doom. The attending veterinarians pronounced her terminal with little, to no hope at all. A direct descendant of the great Nez Perce War Horses of old, the filly had the calm steady look of one about to enjoin the battle ..........
